Getting to Know the Community

In my role doing network support for Lakeland Networks, my daily tasks are varied and wide ranging. I can be helping a customer set up a new Internet, Home Phone, or Digital TV account, troubleshooting customer issues, and everything in between. Additionally, it’s amazing to see the range of customers we can service. Our clients live in Bracebridge, Gravenhurst, Huntsville, Port Sydney, Dwight, Parry Sound, Wasauksing First Nation, South River, Burk’s Falls—all throughout the Muskoka, Parry Sound and Almaguin regions.

When answering a support call from a customer, I never know to whom I may be speaking and the stories I may hear. I end up getting to know and build relationships with those who call in, and best of all, I’m able to assist and make someone’s day. I’ve been told, “Lakeland, you guys are magicians!”

All in all, I get to work with great coworkers, help others, have a good time, and interact with customers from all over our area.
