Lakeland Networks was awarded funding towards an innovative project that will bring improved high-speed internet access to underserved Lake of Bays residents located around Ten Mile Bay and Emerald Bay.
Lakeland Networks has been awarded $701,055 in Universal Broadband Funding (UBF) for a High-Speed Internet build on Wasauksing First Nation land.
New funding will bring high-speed Internet to approximately 1,300 underserved households and businesses in South River, Katrine, Emsdale, Burk’s Falls, Sundridge, Lake Bernard, and Machar, Ontario.

With government funding assistance, Lakeland is poised to begin rolling out as many as 11 separate projects to bring broadband to where it is most needed.
